Dr. Shang Xiang graduated magna cum laude from New England College of Optometry, located in Boston, MA. As she has particular interest in eye pathology, she completed an ocular disease residency program with Atlantic Eye Physicians, at their locations throughout Monmouth County.
Dr. Xiang’s training also includes internships at a variety of eye care settings, including South End Community Health Center in Boston, West Haven VA Medical Center, Eye Centers of South Florida in Miami and Silicon Valley Eye Physicians in Sunnyvale, CA. She was part of an optometric mission trip to Belize with the Fellowship of Christian Optometrists and His Servants’ ministry, where she could give back to the community by providing the gift of vision and sustainable eye care to underprivileged populations. She is a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honor Society, as well as the American Optometric Association and the New JerseySociety of Optometric Physicians.
Dr. Xiang received her Bachelor of Science degree from McGill University in Montreal, Canada, majoring in Microbiology and Immunology, as well as a Master of Immunology from the University of Toronto in Canada.
Dr. Xiang is excited to be a part of the practice and provides full-scope, comprehensive eye examinations. She is dedicated to providing the highest quality eye care with compassion and clinical expertise.
When not at the clinic, Dr. Xiang enjoys playing piano and going on hiking adventures with her husband, baby boy, and Honey the Golden Retriever.
