Dr. Bassily grew up in Jersey City, NJ where she attended The Academy of St. Aloysius for high school. Dr. Bassily graduated from Seton Hall University with a B.S. in Chemistry. She then obtained her graduate education in optometry, receiving her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University. After obtaining her Doctor of Optometry degree, Dr. Bassily completed an optometric residency in primary care optometry at The Eye Care Center of New Jersey through The Pennsylvania college of Optometry at Salus University. The ocular conditions she manages range from routine eye exams to the management of ocular disease, pre-and post-operative care, and ocular emergencies.
Prior to joining An Eye To The Future, Dr. Bassily practiced primary care/family
optometry in a private practice setting in Clark, NJ. While there she provided care to
patients of all ages, with an emphasis on family practice, providing care for whole
families including parents, children and grandparents. Dr. Bassily also practiced
pediatric optometry at University Children’s Eye Center for 15 years where she provided care to patients ages 4-21 specializing in the treatment and management of refractive error, amblyopia, strabismus, ocular emergencies, ocular disease, and contact lens fitting. After completing her residency Dr. Bassily started her career by practicing family optometry in Livingston, New Jersey.
Dr. Bassily provides care to many patients with ocular disease, as well as routine
examinations and contact lens fitting. Dr. Bassily has been practicing optometry for
more than 20 years, and has lived with her husband and two young adult children in
Monmouth County, NJ for over 20 years.
